We have had good luck with clover, both for it coming up good and for deer liking it. But it is totally up to you.

There should be other stuff you can plant with the clover. What I would do is when you go get your seed I would ask the person at the place where you are getting the seed. They SHOULD know what will work with each and also some tips on planting and growing.

We had 3 different sections of different plants in our bigger plot this last season. Most of it the winter mix stuff then we had a patch of clover from last season and then some turnips real close to the stand.
